Let’s Support Kurt

Hi, I’m James, and I run NESTUD.

One of my closest friends—and one of the incredible athletes here at NESTUD—has been offered an amazing opportunity: to play rugby in Poland for the remainder of the season. This is a massive step for Kurt, and although it’s going to be a tough challenge, it’s one that’s well worth it.

The level he’s been invited to play at is roughly equivalent to the lower tier of the English Championship—serious rugby, and a huge chance to push himself before hanging up his boots.

Kurt recently stepped down as captain of Seaham Rugby Club, where he helped lead the team to two County Cup wins in the past three years. He’s been a loyal part of the club for over 12 years, and now he’s looking to test himself at a higher level one final time before retiring from playing.

This is where we need your support.

Kurt has a wife and two young children to provide for, and while the club in Poland will cover his accommodation and expenses while he’s there, it won’t stretch to supporting his family back home.

We’re hoping to raise £2,500 to help keep a roof over their heads during the five weeks Kurt will be away chasing this incredible opportunity.
