Hi, our names are Carlene, Leah, and Courtney, and we’re fundraising for our friend’s son, Jonathan ....a bright, kind 15-year-old boy whose life was shattered in an instant.

Imagine being 15 years old… and waking up to find out your mother died in her sleep. No warning. No goodbye. Just silence.

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, Jonathan lost his mom, Elena Pinzar , his mother, his best friend, his biggest supporter, his whole world. The kind of loss no child should ever have to face

Now, nearing the end of his school year, while most teens are worrying about summer plans, Jonathan is facing grief, uncertainty, and the fear of being uprooted from the life his mother worked so hard to build for him.

Thankfully, Elena’s sister and brother-in-law, Luba and Frank, have opened their hearts and home to Jonathan. Their hope is to keep him here in Airdrie — close to his school, his friends, and the community that knows him. But the reality is, they can’t do it alone.

We’re raising funds to help cover Jonathan’s daily needs . This means school supplies, sports/Music, clothes, emotional support , and give him even a small sense of stability in this unimaginable time.
