Let's support Isaac's road to recovery

On April 8th, a young member of our community was involved in a serious Dirt Biking Accident. Isaac teBulte has a passion for riding and has been riding since a young age. Because he is such an experienced rider, he was able to stay on his bike during his accident; this saved his life and is the first miracle of this story. God certainly had his hand on Isaac!  The entire teBulte family is beyond grateful for all of the prayers, positive thoughts and messages you have been sending to their boy!

Isaac’s family acted quickly and he travelled by ambulance to Trail hospital with what was thought to be a very badly injured leg, minutes into his ride to the hospital it became apparent Isaac was experiencing extreme difficulty breathing and upon arrival to Trail hospital the emerge doctor performed a life saving procedure and Isaac was put on a ventilator; another miracle! When Isaac landed his dirtbike his neck/throat area took the brunt of the impact as he compressed onto his handlebars; his foot and lower leg took the rest. Isaac was flown to Kelowna the following day and spent 4 days in ICU. He underwent a series of surgeries to fix his badly broken leg and to fix his damaged trachea. Isaac currently has a trach in place and is on a feeding tube, he has since been moved out of ICU. The surgery on his leg was extensive and involved plates and screws, his internal damage was far greater than the surgeon anticipated. Isaac will remain non-weight bearing for 90 days.  He needs to remain in Kelowna for the time being as he requires close watch from an ENT(Ear nose throat specialist)  It goes without saying Isaac has quite a journey ahead of him, one that will require his bravery, perseverance, patience and a lot of emotional and physical support.

Isaac has been running Buncher for his family business, working alongside his dad on a daily basis, he has become one of his dad’s most dependable employees. AT this time the length of recovery and future medical needs are uncertain, it is obvious Isaac will require months of therapy with the possibility of different types of equipment to support his recovery.  Isaac does not have any insurance and the financial stress will certainly accumulate and will be challenging for the teBulte family. Many of you have reached out and asked “how can we help”, we are asking for your support, PRAYERS, and financial aid would be appreciated beyond words.  All donations will go to Isaacs recovery and rehabilitation needs.    For those of you who have had the privilege of knowing the Tebulte family, this also goes without saying they are truly some of the most generous, caring, hardworking and kind people of our community! They are the first to offer to help anyone in need. They are the first to offer prayers, support and kindness to friends and family. We understand the past year has not been easy on many and if you are not in a position to donate, please keep praying for Isaac and his entire family as they continue on this journey to recovery from this terrible accident.
