Hola Amigos, this time I am here "Yes, me Maritza" asking to contribute for a noble cause. A good friend from San Felipe needs our support. "YES. OUR SUPPORT." Her name is Gisela Arce Corona, I met her a couple years ago where she and Nancy Serratos invited me to contribute to raise funds for an student bus very much need it for las Minitas area here in beautiful San Felipe Bay .
Her Story: Gisela is a 37 years old gal, married, and mother of two sons: Jorge, 15, and Aarón, 13. She is a professor at the University of San felipe, where she teaches Administrative Science to students . She has 15 years of academic experience, in addition she promotes a pilot eco-sustainable projects focused on environmental protection. She is part of COBI, an institution dedicated to environmental conservation, where Ishe participates as a change agent, sharing experiences and knowledge to foster a culture of ecological responsibility.
From childhood, her mother plant seeds about fundamental values such as hard work, study, and solidarity. In her youth, she was an athlete and started working at age 12 to help support her family. At age 17, she began experiencing symptoms such as back, head, and joint pain, as well as hearing and vision problems, which at the time I attributed to physical exertion, minor accidents, and excessive sports activity.
A month ago, Gisela was diagnosed with Arnold-Chiari malformation, a condition in which a part of the brain—usually the cerebellum—is displaced downward and presses on the spinal canal. This malformation, caused by a smaller-than-usual skull, can obstruct the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. I currently require urgent surgery to prevent neurological, motor, and coordination damage, as it is a degenerative disease.
She admits that it was a great challenge for her to speak up and ask for HELP.
Her WORDS:
"My pride in being strong and capable of handling anything had prevented me from doing so. However, today I understand that to be able to support others, I must first be well myself, both physically and emotionally. Thank you, to my new dear friend Maritza, for sharing this valuable lesson with me.
I firmly believe in the harmonious coexistence between people and nature, in solidarity as a driving force for transformation, and in the constant pursuit of the common good, because caring for the planet is also caring for our own lives and those of future generations!"
Unfortunately, the hospital where her health insurance covers is not providing appointments earlier enough for her type of surgery; So now she needs an urgent surgery in a private hospital otherwise her well being, her life will be compromise. Her surgery was scheduled for Jan. 23rd, 2026.
Please keep Gisela in your thoughts and prayers, and if you feel called to contribute a financial gift, you can do so through this fundraising post.
.....Don't forget to share her story with your circle, you'll be making a real difference and wrapping her in your love and support".
We Thank YOU!" from the bottom of our hearts. You are such a good friend. Gracias de todo corazón. Son ustedes muy buenos amig@s.
