Hi, I am Gwen, a friend of Beatriz Trippy. I am setting up this fundraiser to assist Beatriz with her upcoming medical expenses.

During these past few weeks, Beatriz has been experiencing headaches and some loss of vision in one of her eyes. After some medical evaluations, she was told that there is a tumor in her brain that has been affecting her optic nerves and pituitary gland. They are still in the process of doing further evaluations to determine the exact location and the extent of this tumor, but what has been determined is that regardless, surgery will need to take place in order to relieve the stress on her optic nerves and preserve the vision in both her eyes. As one could imagine, having received this kind of news is emotionally daunting. Beatriz is the sole provider for her family. Beatriz is caring for her aging parents, her husband who is medically disabled, and the one who has to manage all the household expenses.
