Anika and Baby: Support Their High-Risk Pregancy Journey
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Gabby, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support in raising funds for Anika and her unborn baby, Chevrette. This journey has been incredibly challenging, and they need our help to cover the significant medical expenses and living costs associated with Anika's high-risk pregnancy.
**About Baby Chevrette:**
Baby Chevrette has been diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a severe heart defect where only two of the heart's chambers and valves are of normal size and structure, while the other two are extremely small or may not be present at all. This condition requires specialized care and extensive medical intervention.
**The Road Ahead:**
To give baby Chevrette the best chance of survival, Anika and her family must move to Toronto one month before the baby’s expected birth on September 11th, with a possibility of inducing labor earlier to reduce risks. After the birth at Mount Sinai Hospital, baby Chevrette will be transferred to Sick Kids Hospital for immediate and ongoing treatments.
**The Challenges:**
Anika has already been enduring bi-weekly trips to Ottawa for appointments at CHEO, along with frequent visits to Toronto for specialist consultations. These long days of travel and hospital visits are exhausting and stressful, especially for an expecting mother.
**How You Can Help:**
We are seeking donations to cover the following essential expenses:
- Travel costs to and from medical appointments
- Temporary housing in Toronto
- Groceries and daily living expenses
- Medical care supplies and formula for baby Chevrette
Your generosity will help alleviate the financial burden on Anika and her family, allowing them to focus on what truly matters: the health and well-being of both mother and baby.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Please join us in supporting Anika and baby Chevrette during this critical time.
Together, we can help them navigate this challenging journey with hope and strength.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
