If you know Aly you have probably laughed, cried, loved, and been showered by sparkles in her presence. She cares deeply for her community and is the first to show up when someone is in need. Her joy and zest for life is infectious and so many of her family, her friends, and her patients have felt this influence in our lives. Aly hit a bump in the road, and it is our turn to show her that she is loved and cherished. Aly recently made the difficult decision to leave a relationship that was hurting her mental well-being. Because that partner was the financial provider in the relationship she walked away from pretty much everything. The one thing she did have was a car given to her as a Christmas gift last year. This week her ex came in the middle of the night and took the car away. As a caregiver, Aly depends on a car in order to work and so needs to figure out a new solution very quickly. She is currently caring for a leukemia patient who counts on her safe and reliable transportation for treatment, and it is this income that will allow her to find a place to live and rebuild her life.
