‍♂️ I’m Running the Mudgee Marathon for Men’s Mental Health

Support The Woodpecker Project

This year, I’m taking on the Mudgee Marathon not just as a personal challenge, but as a mission that’s deeply close to my heart — raising awareness and vital funds for The Woodpecker Project, a men’s mental health and suicide prevention charity.

Too many men are suffering in silence. Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death for men, and yet the conversation around men’s mental health is still shrouded in stigma and shame. The Woodpecker Project is fighting to change that — offering real support through peer networks, crisis intervention, one-on-one connections, and wellness programs that give men the tools to heal.

By running this marathon, I want to send a message loud and clear:

It’s okay to talk. It’s okay to struggle. And no man should feel alone.

My Goal — And My Promise

If I reach £2,500 / $5,000, I’ll run the marathon wearing a weighted vest — a symbol of the invisible burden so many men carry every day.

And I want to take this even further.

If you’ve lost a man to suicide — a father, son, brother, partner, or mate — please send me his name.

I will carry his name with me on the run, in honour and remembrance. Because no man should be forgotten, and no struggle should go unseen.
