The mission of the anti-democratic anti-free-speech system defenders have always been in manufacturing deceiving historical narratives to impose their will on others while aggressively hunt down and destroy the few decanting voices that dared to challenge them. This force is supported by a century old bureaucracy, running a well-established global network with wealth of experience in destructive PR campaign to silence voices that are always at the side of the truth.
One latest example of this truth is what just have happened to Betelehem Tafese. Betelehem was a rising star and already successful media personality working for LTV. With her unique brand, style and bravery to uncover the truth, she quickly gained great admiration among the Ethiopian people across the board, while becoming a target of orchestrated campaign by those who are at other side of the truth. Her digging to unveil the truth with some of her famous questioning line: “can you take off your mask?”, her style and mining for the truth bought her malicious attacks that made life miserable. Her focus on actual problems our society is facing and her determination to get to the bottom of the main issues of our era exposed her for negative attack that included a threat against her personal security and harassment that followed her into her workplace. This coordinated attack became unbearable to the point forcing her resign from a job she passionately loved. Even though those who forced her to leave her job are celebrating their attempt to silence her, we the defenders of the truth must stand with people like Betelehem and bring them back to the microphone.
Betelehem feels that this is a very important historical time to take a pause or get distracted, but instead double down with sharper focus to uncover the truth and expose the injustice. Therefore, as she is mobilizing her resources and planning to comeback with much vigor and passion on a different platform, we need to stand with her and enable her to succeed. In a way, we also show we stand for the truth and defend the truth.
