My wife Diana was diagnosed with metastatic breast-bone cancer on June 12th. She’s just beginning her treatment journey, starting with chemotherapy and while there are still a lot of unknowns, one thing is clear: she will not be going through this alone.
Diana has been a daycare teacher for 19 years touching so many lives throughout her career. She not only teaches the minds of little ones but she has many friends that she has made from co-workers, bosses, parents, and even students that have grown up and still stays in touch with her.
She is also an amazing wife, daughter in-law, aunt, great-aunt, sister, and cousin. Her family means the world to her.
We also recently had a fire at our home where we had to live in a hotel for 3 months, clean and replace smoke damaged items, and move into a new home. So it has been a hard 9 months in our lives.
What this fund will support:
- Medical expenses not covered by her insurance.
- Loss of income from time away from work, she may also get to where she can’t work as a teacher because of her immune system
- Daily living expenses (rent, bills, groceries, etc)
- Any unforeseen costs along the way
