Mediha is currently in Turkey receiving her quarterly cancer treatment and is now facing new challenges with how expensive both, the treatments and medications, have became. Due to cancer, Mediha had to stop working after 30 years as an accordion teacher and is living in Bosnia supporting herself with minimum pension. The future without funds for treatment is very uncertain and the situation is very serious. Mediha remains in good spirit in spite of it all, but it is hard. We truly appreciate each one of you for being so giving and caring. All of the donations have gone towards chemo and medication Mediha needed and still needs for her ongoing treatment in Turkey. We are optimistic that, with your continuous help and support, Mediha will get to teach music to her young students again and enjoy life with her family and friends to its fullest.

1.25.24 Update

Below is the picture of Mediha and her son Haris, who stood by his mom during her last chemo session in Turkey several weeks ago. There are two more chemo therapies left to finish line.

We are forever grateful for everyone's kindness, but if we can push one more time to reach our goal, we will be able to finance her last two therapies. We need $14,000-$15,000 which is 300 donations of $50 each. Please share the post and participate best you can. We are almost there ....thank you for standing by us...much love

Evo Medihinog Harisa uz mamu u Turskoj za vrijeme zadnje terapije. Mediha se bori kao lavica da zavrsi propisani tretman. Ostale su jos dvije hemoterapije. Tu smo, vidimo svjetlost na kraju tunela, ali nam treba vasa podrska da skupimo jos $14,000-$15,000 koji su joj neophodni. 11.16.23 Update

Mediha was able to complete her first treatment cycle few weeks ago. She is doing well and is currently in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, getting ready to go to Turkey this Sunday for her second treatment cycle. This would not have been possible without your kindness and your generous donations. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

Mediha je na zracenju u Turskoj i preporuke doktora su, da se, uz pomoc specijalnih lijekova, krene sa 3 ciklusa hemoterapije. Kao sto znamo to je sve abnormalno skupo ($6500 po tretmanu plus lijekovi) i treba nam vasa pomoc. Svi mi koji znamo Medihu, volimo Medihu i brinemo se za nju, a ima nas puno, sa nekim novcanim doprinosom joj mozemo olaksati put koji je sad ispred nje. She has the most beautiful soul and loves and cares deeply for everyone.
