On Saturday March 12, we all woke up to a brave post on LinkedIn where Ella has publicly named her abusers. 
 
It’s one of the most courageous things to ever happen in our industry and it’s the motivation for this GoFundMe page. 

This is a stand against silence.

We've all heard of workplace-related sexual assault and bullying in the creative industries. It’s happened to uncounted women over too many years. Yet a terrible silence continues. This page is a way we can join Ella in taking a stand against that silence, to speak out against abuse and abuse of power against women in our industry.

It had to start somewhere and Ella has taken the first, brave step. Now there is a way to support her to continue her fight for justice.  

Ella can choose to use the donated funds for any kind of support: to raise awareness, to campaign, for mental health support, legal costs or whatever else will help her cause. 

If you want to be part of an historic shift in the creative industries, this is one way to offer support. You can donate anonymously, if you choose. Or not. It’s up to you.

As the organiser, I prefer to stay anonymous for the time being so the focus is solely on Ella. I contacted her to seek verification of the campaign to raise funds on her behalf and Ella has given her permission and approval. We are now in regular contact, so please look out for updates on this page.

Ella is also the official beneficiary of all donations (see below ‘Organiser & Beneficiary’).
