Lets show Slade how much we love him!

UPDATE 11/26/22: Happy Thanksgiving, all. Thank you so much for supporting our good friend, Slade. His surgery went well and he is recovering in the hospital. There is no set date of his release allowing him to head home. He has started walking again, in tiny increments, however, his endurance is lacking. Time and practice will help him get stronger. He will be required to complete physical and occupational therapy and is hoping to complete his rehabilitation in Roper Hospital, if he qualifies.

Slade is strong but has a long road to recovery. We are thankful that the doctors have been able to help his body start the heeling process.

Lets show him how thankful we are to have him in our lives and how much support he actually has surrounding him. We ❤️ you, Slade!

UPDATE: Doctors hoped to treat Slade's condition with medication; however, after better understanding the severity of his condition, its been determined that medication alone, unfortunately, won't heal his heart. Slade will be having open heart surgery on November 14. He will recover in the hospital for a week and at home for six weeks with restricted activity. Let's show him how much he means to us. He needs us now more than ever. We love you, Slade.

Slade has never met a stranger. Being the most kindhearted person, it’s our turn to show him how much he means to us. Slade has been severely fatigued for nearly a year, however, thought it was due to the demanding physical environment of the food and beverage profession. That wasn’t the case. Slade’s heart hasn’t been working to its fullest capacity and his internal organs haven’t been receiving the amount of blood they need to function. Slade was admitted to Roper Hospital with a diagnosis of organ failure. His heart rate is extremely elevated, and it’s a challenge to stabilize. Being that his heart is working twice as hard, he will undergo surgery on November 7 to repair it. The stents will help his heart function properly, allowing his organs to receive the amount of blood that they need as well as help them recover. Slade is a strong person, however, he has a challenging recovery ahead of him. He needs us now more than ever. Lets rally around him and support him through this tough time. We love you, and we are with you, Slade!
