Let’s show our support in memory of Gilbert Weekes

Hello, I am one of Iyana’s friends, and was there with her on the hardest day of her life. As many of you already know, on February 8, 2025, our town lost a great man, Gilbert Weekes. Gilbert was a hard working man who would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need, anytime, any day. Gilbert left behind the love of his life and biggest supporter; his wife Iyana and their 9 year old son Zion. 

While on the outside their life appeared enviable, Gilbert’s kind generous nature inevitably left his family with insurmountable debts. While respecting their privacy, Iyana and Zion are struggling with overwhelming bills piling up. With funds tied up and lawsuits in limbo, Iyana is drowning in stress and financial struggles. Her 9 year old son cried in my arms asking how they’re going to be able to afford their bills and asking his mom to take him out of sports. No family should have to face these struggles following the loss of their husband and Dad. 

Let’s raise some money to alleviate some stress for this family during this hard time. Gilbert touched many lives locally, let’s return the favor to his family.
