Hi everyone,

My name is Danielle Gerhardi, and like many of you, I am a family friend of the Cheniers. Late Saturday night, Katie was involved in a devastating car accident and is now in hospital in Vancouver, surrounded by her family. Our hearts are broken for them.

Being so far from home, facing the unknown, and trying to stay strong for someone you love is an unimaginable burden. The road ahead for Katie and her family may be long.

If you are able, I hope we can come together as a community to wrap the Cheniers in love and support, even from a distance. Every kind thought, prayer, and gesture means more than words can express.

Please keep Katie close in your hearts and prayers as she fights her way through this incredibly difficult time.
