Show Monica and Josh the love! Beat that Cancer.
This is the hardest thing to write out, because it means someone you love is hurting and needs help. It's especially hard when this person is humble and private in nature, but also a giver. It was a tug of war to "kind of " get the blessing to do this. Monica said " there are others that need it more than me". It is always the ones who give that have the hardest time accepting help.
You see, Monica is one of those people that if she was on the way to the emergency room for a life threatening situation for herself and saw someone (human, animal, an inanimate object, anything) in need, she would stop to help them. Not only would she help them but she would get their whole life story, make them laugh, and befriend them by times end and they would be invited to the next crawfish boil. If it was an animal, it would be back at her house or on the way to the vet.
Monica is a force of nature that just keeps going. She has always worked hard for everything she has, lives life to the fullest, while being this conscious individual to everything and everyone around her.
As she was the caretaker for her mother who just recently passed from Cancer, malignant tumors were growing in Monica's liver, which was just recently diagnosed. A date for surgery is set, but medical bills and expenses are already mounting.
My wish and that of Monica's close friends, is for Monica and her AMAZING husband Josh, to receive the love and support that they give out daily, unknowingly, for it is inherent in their nature. For money to be the last burden on their minds during this time.
ANYONE that has ever met Monica, knows she is this caring, feisty, funny, firecracker of a woman. I always tell her she has touched so many lives for just being who she is, she has no idea.
Now is the time I call upon everyone to show her.
