Community for a Brookline mom

Hi -

In the Fall, I made a wonderful new friend through the Brookline High rowing community. Laughing in the cold rain while our kids rowed, I had no idea that this hilarious and lovely woman was a single mom to 3 boys under 15, who had just finished successful treatment for breast cancer after being summarily dismissed from her consulting role because she needed to take time off for surgeries and other care. She is gearing up for a 2 final surgeries this summer to address additional related issues, and will be in the hospital for at least a week.

This mom has lived in Brookline for a fairly short time and doesn’t have an extensive local network or family who can come help. I’m raising money to help pay for overnight supervision and care of her 3 boys while she’s in the hospital, and for some help when she’s back home.
