Let's Show Chantelle Some Love And Support
Hi, my name is Michele Mosher Higney, and on behalf of myself, Crystal White, Pam White Lewis, Tammy Myrer, Shelley Luddington and
Juanita Cooper Marshall, I am creating this GO FUND ME page for a very dear friend and sister.
Chantelle White is a lifelong resident of Porters Lake, and very well known in our community as one of the most kind and generous people you would ever want to meet. Usually it is she that is fundraising, doing errands, and helping people in any way possible, whether she knows you or not lol. She is always the first to offer help, and the last to leave.
Chantelle works at Emergency Medical Services as a scheduler for the paramedics. I've seen her in action, and like everything she does, it is done with professionalism, grace and pride. She is very respected by her peers, and goes out of her way to make sure everyone is "taken care of".
I can't begin to count the hours she puts in on a volunteer basis, such as - The Memory Lane Heritage Village in Lake Charlotte, The Old School in Musquodoboit Harbour, The Eastern Shore Players, her work with the Greyhounds, the Tangier Deanery, Soul Sisters, Fundraising for Cancer research, managing my bands, and most recently her efforts to raise money for the Eastern Shore District High Prom. She is always ready to promote small business, and is a firm believer in "Shop Local". I could go on and on, and still not cover half of what this beautiful soul has accomplished.
A few days ago, Chantelle was working on her pride and joy.... her beloved "Treehouse"; aka her "She Shed". It's a special place for friends to come and hang out with her, and her boy "Cheech". She was using the table saw to add the final touches, when she had an unfortunate accident. Her fingers were partially severed by the saw . She was taken to the hospital, where she had a 12 hour surgery to have 2 fingers reattached. She will have a very long recovery process, and many hours of physio. Chantelle will be coming home from the hospital soon, and will begin her recuperation . Since her job requires hours of typing, getting back to work will take quite some time.
I want to reach out to all that know her, and ask if you could please help in her road to recovery. I know times are hard for everyone right now, but if you could find it in your heart to please give a little , it would be very appreciated. She has a long road ahead, and if we could relieve a bit of the financial burden, it would be such a blessing.
Chantelle - you would be so much more articulate than I... lol
Keep your inner teacher hidden for now ok ;) <3
Love you "Telle"
