In September 2020, during the height of Covid uncertainty, our mom and dad quietly celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary and became empty nesters after raising us four kids.
We’re asking you, family and friends, to join us in showering Mel and Cindy with love and celebration by sending them on their first overseas trip in three decades. Their last overseas trip was a 1993 mission trip to Scotland featuring a one-year-old Erinn, lots of homemade soup, and bunk beds. Check out some vintage family photos below. We’re raising 15k* to send them on a three week romp across Italy and Greece as they explore the grandness and goodness of creation in style and comfort. Mom is especially looking forward to the coastal scenery. Dad can’t wait to rub shoulders with ancient history.
Mel and Cindy’s partnership will always center service to others for the glory of God, AND we want this next phase of their love story to be marked by rich enjoyment, rest, and shared adventure. In the words of Westminster Shorter Catechism No. 1, may this next chapter welcome an abundant share of “enjoying God forever.”
