Let's Save Trip

Hi, my name is Kathlyne Borgonos and this fundraiser is to help an animal in need. My family found a lost kitten with three legs limping around their backyard and crying out desperately for help. After waiting for mom to come, it was clear that this baby girl was abandoned. Upon investigation, we were able to visualize the massive injury of her right leg- an open wound with exposed bone. It's amazing that she has been able to survive all this time.

We took the kitten in and contacted Ashley from Southern Paws right away. Ashley was quick to assess the urgency of the situation and find placement with Pittie Party Rescue in North Brunswick. We were relieved to have found people so quick to open their hearts to this helpless kitty in need, but this was only the beginning.

They promptly brought the kitten to the Veterinary Emergency Group in Nanuet to be fully evaluated and vetted. They found a femoral break and exposed bone with swelling that will require full amputation.

Full work up cost $1500 and the surgery can be $1000 or more.

These rescues are having a difficult time keeping up with their capacities right now, full shelters/rescues means money is tight and they're STRUGGLING. It's not a miracle that this baby was saved, these rescuers are doing everything they can to care and treat these helpless animals.
