We thank you to everyone who contributed to helping Gustavo. Unfortunately God had other plans for Gustavo as he called for him on 20th March 2026. Any donations from here on will assist greatly in funeral and post hospital expenses. It is a difficult time for us but we thank everyone for their support as it means the world during this very difficult time. Gustavo was an amazing and humble man and amazing father to Heldy his only daughter and there are absolutely no words to express the void that has been left.

Let’s Save Gustavo’s Heart

My name is Heldy, and I am raising funds for my dad, Gustavo.

Three years ago my father moved to Trinidad to be close to family during a very difficult time in Venezuela. Over the past few years, he has experienced several medical emergencies, and we have been trying to understand the cause.

Recently, he traveled back to Venezuela for what was supposed to be a routine stent procedure. During the procedure, doctors discovered that several of his heart arteries are severely blocked. Because of this, he now urgently needs triple bypass heart surgery.

This is a major and life-saving operation, and the medical expenses are more than we can manage on our own. Our goal is to raise $30,000 (~40K CAD) to help cover the cost of the surgery, hospital care, and his recovery.

As his only child, I am asking for any support you may be able to give. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving my dad a second chance at life.

Salvemos el corazón de Gustavo

Me llamo Heldy y estoy recaudando fondos para mi papá, Gustavo.

Hace tres años, mi papá se mudó a Trinidad para estar conmigo, por momentos muy difíciles en Venezuela. En los últimos tres años, el a sufrido varias emergencias médicas y hemos estado tratando de comprender la causa.

Recientemente, mi papá regresó a Venezuela para lo que se suponía sería una colocación rutinaria de stent. Durante el procedimiento, los médicos descubrieron que varias arterias de su corazón estaban gravemente bloqueadas. Debido a esto, ahora necesita urgentemente una cirugía de triple bypass.

Esta es una operación importante que salvará su vida, y los gastos médicos son más de lo que podemos afrontar por nuestra cuenta. Nuestra meta es recaudar $30,000 para ayudar a cubrir el costo de la cirugía, la atención hospitalaria y su recuperación.
