A mother. A fighter. A heart full of love — now Asha needs our help.

Sometimes, you meet people who touch your heart forever. People who give without asking, even when they have so little. Asha is one of those people.

We met Asha during our semester abroad in Sri Lanka. From the very beginning, she welcomed us like daughters. For over six months, we shared laughter, meals, and countless moments of love and warmth. Asha gave us her bed, her food, and her heart. Her children became like younger siblings — we found a second family.

Now Asha is facing the fight of her life.

She has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Due to overcrowding in public hospitals, she was denied treatment. Her only hope now is a private surgery. The operation is scheduled for April 27th — on the doctor’s personal day off, because he knows the family’s situation and wants to help.

But the cost of the surgery, medication, and scans is €10,000 — far beyond what Asha’s family can afford.

We have until April 26th to raise the money —

So Asha can receive the life-saving surgery.

So her children can keep their mother.

So this loving, selfless heart can keep beating.

Asha ist Mutter von drei kleinen Kindern und eine der herzlichsten Menschen, die wir je kennenlernen durften. Während unseres Auslandssemesters in Sri Lanka hat sie uns wie Töchter aufgenommen, ihr Zuhause und ihr Herz mit uns geteilt.

Asha hat einen Hirntumor.

Das öffentliche Krankenhaus musste sie ablehnen – es gibt zu viele Patient*innen.

Ein Arzt, der die Situation der Familie kennt, hat angeboten, sie am 27. April an seinem freien Tag zu operieren – aber nur, wenn die Familie die 10.000 Euro für OP, Medikamente und Untersuchungen selbst aufbringen kann.

Wir haben nur bis zum 26. April Zeit.
