Let's Reunite Omelet with Mrs. Mason's Students
Donation protected
My name is Jessica Mason and I am a fifth grade teacher who trained her golden retriever to become a therapy dog so that he could come to my elementary school with me and support student and staff social emotional health and well being. Due to a significant increase in insurance costs this year I am unable to continue bringing him to school. I asked a few of my students to share their experiences of having a therapy dog in their classroom and how it has been without him to most authentically share the joy Omelet brings!
We are the 5th grade students in Mrs. Mason’s class and we LOVE Omelet. He helps us learn, focus, and calm down when we are upset. Omelet is there when we need him and helps us so much! Since Omelet has been gone due to insurance, school hasn't been the same. He can't be there when we need him. When we arrive at school in the morning he immediately runs to the door to greet us.
I am one of Mrs. Mason’s students and I used to be able to walk him until he left. Omelet doesn’t get to go on walks with us anymore. I like playing catch with him. And when it’s winter playing in the snow with him. That's where he got the nickname Snow King. I always go up to pet Omelet and when he was here he would always go up against me and lean on me and he would not move until I moved with him. But now we can’t because of insurance! We love Omelet so much and can’t lose him!
Sincerely, Mrs. Mason's students
As you can see Omelet makes a positive difference and his presence is missed. This donation goal would cover Omelet for an entire calendar year, meaning he would be able to finish this year and continue next year until the end of April. Any donation would be greatly appreciated!
