Hi, I'm Melissa, I've known Vivi and her family since high school (over 20 years) and I'm putting this fundraiser together to help with some unexpected travel and hospital expenses they've had to deal with in the last month. You may not know that Vivi's dad suffered a heart attack while traveling with her mom in Colombia for the holidays and has been hospitalized for over 3 weeks.

Hospitalized since early January and scheduled for open heart surgery this coming week, he's had to deal with pneumonia and other set backs that have amounted to a huge financial challenge for the family. Vivi, Liliana and her parents need our support as traveling to and from Barranquilla, Colombia and the hospital expenses have them at the brink of exhausting their savings. All costs related to his hospitalization must be paid upfront and they are still not sure what, if anything, insurance will cover.

Vivi is just an amazing all around friend and her parents have welcomed us all into their home, on family vacations, celebrations and more so if we can help them focus on what matters, instead of the bills the hospital staff give them at the end of each day, I know it will mean so much to them.
