A little support can make a big difference.
As a group of friends, we have come together to set up this GoFundMe for someone very special to us, Doireann.
Doireann is living with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP), a rare genetic condition that has brought challenges into her life that many of us could never begin to imagine.
As she bravely shared in her recent interview, Family Flowers Only, her journey has involved major surgeries, ongoing medical treatment and the reality of facing further procedures in the future. Her condition affects so much more than just her physical health; it also brings emotional, practical and financial challenges that are often unseen by others.
The reality of living with a condition like FAP means that life can involve endless hospital appointments, treatments, travel, accommodation and medical expenses, all while trying to maintain some sense of normality.
As her friends, we want to take some of that pressure away.
We are hoping to raise funds to help Doireann with the financial burden of living with FAP and the ongoing costs associated with her treatment and care. This includes helping towards hospital-related expenses, travel and accommodation, as well as giving her some much-needed financial breathing space during what can be an incredibly difficult time.
Above all, we want these funds to give Doireann the freedom to focus on herself, her health and her quality of life, without having to worry quite so much about the financial pressures that come alongside her condition.
Doireann has shown incredible strength and courage throughout her journey, and we hope this fundraiser will remind her that she is surrounded by people who care deeply about her.
No donation is too small. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and will be genuinely appreciated. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.
We know we cannot take away the challenges Doireann faces, but together we can help make the journey a little easier.
Let's come together, show Doireann how loved she is, and give her the support she deserves.
With love and thanks,
Doireann's friends ❤️
