He travels globally Production managing bands and running the front of house sound for the bands. Until recently he has fallen on some unforeseen hard times.
Here are some snippets of a texts between me and Cory a week ago to better explain what is happening:
1/5/19
"So I’ve got Bacterial Pneumonia and they’re suspecting I’ve also got pericarditis, which is an infection in lining of my heart. So I’ve got another day or two in ICU, but I’m feeling a lot better today than I have the last two weeks"
1/6/19
“Here’s today’s update. We saw the pulmonologist and she was worried about swelling in the middle of my chest- the mediastinum, and feels it’s best I get moved to Vanderbilt. I’ll be transferred tonight, and we are possibly looking at another couple days there. There is a surgery that can be done to “clean out” that part of his chest, and we will find out tomorrow if that’s the best option. Thank you for your prayers and support through this. Hoping it’s all over soon!”
-- Cory had that surgery--

"Long story short I had a really rare bacteria in my chest. It’s a very abnormal case and so there’s not really a “normal” way to treat it.
The plan right now is that I’m going home tomorrow with the drain in my chest and we’ll be administering antibiotics through an IV for the next couple weeks.
-- Cory went home and was there for less than a week when he had to head back to the hospital--
When I texted his wife, Caroline she answered with this:
1/16/19
"It’s emergency surgery. He has fluid in his right lung and around his heart. We just went in yesterday because his tube was bothering him and they did a ct scan and found more fluid we didn’t know about. That was last night and he’s in surgery now. Pray specifically for his pain. They have to put a tube between his ribs that has to stay there for a couple days and the doctors have repeated many times how painful it will be, and we are fully believing it will not painful."
No one can predict the future or plan for things like this to occur. But we are believing for a FULL recovery and healing with ZERO pain. This gofundme will help his hospital bills and anything his wife might need while he is out of work and recovering. ANYTHING WILL HELP. Thank you so much!
