Lets raise the roof for Richie!

Hi, my name is Linda and I am Richie's Aunt. I would like to share his story:

"Thursday night I went to bed as always. Around 4am, I woke up with a piercing, burning sensation in my neck and back. I tried rubbing it, moving around and jumping into a hot shower for a second but the pain was unbearable. I got back into bed, tried to get comfortable in hopes that it would go away. A few seconds later, I started to shake, feel pins and needles and hyperventilate. I couldn't move my fingers, toes or limbs on my left side. We called the ambulance and I was taken to Spartanburg Regional. I was initially treated as a stroke patient.

After MRI tests were done, they determined I had a blood clot on my upper spine that would need immediate surgery. Paralysis remained on the left side and continued from the chest down, at that point, all that remained was my right arm and head." -Richie

Richie has an amazing attitude towards his recovery. However, he is a father of four children under the age of eleven and is out of employment for an unknown amount of time. He does not have insurance to cover his rehabilitation let alone support his family at this time. Bills will be piling up quickly and we estimate it to be in the hundreds of thousands. Richie is 35 years old, an amazing father, loving son and a believer in Jesus Christ. Any amount will help in assisting him with the medical bills and will allow him time to focus on his healing and rehabilitation, and we will forever be grateful.
