If you know Tommy, you’ll know this isn’t easy to write because he’s the kind of person who would never ask for help himself. Not because he’s too prideful but because he doesn’t want to bother people.

Just before Christmas, After heading into hospital in what we all thought was sciatica, Tommy was diagnosed with Stage 4 lymphoma. In an instant, life changed for him and everyone around him. Hospital became his new home, treatment plans, and an uphill battle that no one ever expected to face, has now became part of everyday reality.

Yet through it all, he remains the same Tommy; positive, caring, and more worried about everyone else than himself. Drawing pictures for his loved ones bringing smiles to their faces, all whilst fighting for his life.

But, as if this diagnosis wasn’t enough, while Tommy was in hospital receiving care, his pride and joy.. his truck was stolen from outside his home. Inside were all of his tools, everything he relies on to run his business and provide for himself. In one cruel moment, he lost not just a vehicle, but his livelihood.

Tommy is someone who truly touches the hearts of everyone he meets. He’s the first to lend a hand, the first to show up when someone needs support, and the last to ever expect anything in return. His warmth, humour, and kindness leave a lasting mark on people.

Now it’s our turn to stand beside him and put him first.

This fundraiser is about lifting some of the weight from his shoulders. It’s about helping replace what was taken, easing financial pressure while he focuses on treatment, and showing him just how loved he truly is.
