Let's put a roof over Tasha's head...literally!

Dear friends,

I am reaching out to you on behalf of our friend Tasha, who has been going through a very challenging time. If you know her, you love her, and she needs no further vetting. If you don’t know her, Tasha is a single mother of two children, who has recently gone through a long, difficult, and hurtful divorce. To make matters worse, she also recently lost her father, who was one of her main pillars of support.

Despite these hardships, Tasha has remained a warm and caring person, quick to include and befriend anyone who crosses her path. For years, her home has been the hub of a vibrant and inclusive social group, where everyone is welcome and made to feel like family. Countless birthday parties, baby showers, wedding showers, Christmas celebrations, Halloween parties, New Year's parties, and you name it, have been hosted by Tasha. Not to mention the random backyard marshmallow roasts ‘because it’s Tuesday and a beautiful evening.’

While she was devastated by the loss of her father, she is grateful to have inherited his house, the location of all these gatherings. It is a wonderful property with a lot of potential. However, the mortgage on the house is much higher than what she is used to paying, and she cannot afford to pay it along with the deferred maintenance repairs the home is in need of. The most pressing issue, at the moment, is the roof, which is in urgent need of replacement. It will not make it through another season, in fact, it didn’t make it through last season. It is currently bandaged with tarps.

As Tasha's friends and loved ones, I would love to see us come together to support her during this difficult time. I am hoping to raise funds to cover the cost of replacing the roof and potentially a few other necessary repairs so that Tasha and her children can continue to have a safe and comfortable home.
