A note from Wendy Goldstein:
I am sitting here with one of my best friends as she is completing her second week of chemo treatment. Some of you may know, but I think many of you don’t.
Molly Reed, our friend and Sandy Beaches problem solver, Delbert's tour manager and Queen of the SBC Merch World, and Nashville Sounds baseball fanatic, has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
It started with pain in her upper back which we thought was a herniated or ruptured disk. Molly is undergoing radiation, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy…. and that’s where we need your help.
This is quite an expensive journey. Insurance will pay for some, but not all. Molly is unable to work at this time, as all of her energy is focused on treatment and recovery, but the cost of this treatment is overwhelming.
We believe that cancer has picked the wrong woman. Molly can do just about anything, from major tour emergencies to rescuing kittens from the Nashville Sounds outfield, She is always the first to say," I can help." She has an amazing spirit and is the most helpful person in the universe. But now, she needs us.
It's our turn to say, "I can help." Please join us in supporting Molly.

In Molly's Words:
What a month it’s been! I went to the ER with neck pain that was getting worse. I honestly thought the worst thing would be a herniated disc. But no…. A few hours later I was diagnosed with lung cancer that had metastasized to my spine. WTF?
I was admitted and spent a week in the hospital while they did two surgeries to replace 3 tumor fractured vertebrae. The doctor described the vertebrae as "mashed potatoes." My brother, Dave flew in from Texas and it was so incredibly reassuring to have him in Nashville.
My brother, Barry has been amazing. Of course, he takes great care of Pops, but didn’t even blink when he was suddenly responsible for all my cats and hens; and even jumping in with my pet care clients.
Since that week, it’s been constant doctor appointments and tests, and I am currently getting chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation.
Delbert’s wife, Wendy has been my angel, nurse, and Emotional Support Human. She has been with me for every appointment; asking questions and taking notes while I’m completely overwhelmed. I am staying with Delbert & Wendy and couldn’t be more grateful. Wendy is researching and making sure my treatments are the best available. I’m also able to rest & relax instead of trying to do everything I’m used to doing every day.
I have been taking care of myself with good nutrition, exercise, and avoiding stress. I have been fortunate that the chemo side effects have been minimal and coffee still tastes good.
I know I have a massive battle ahead but like they say… I’m in it to win it!
