Let’s Open Doors to Arts, Culture & Leadership in Bushwick
Donation protected
This started with one person, one dream, and a whole lot of heart.
In 2020, I made a decision: I was going to build what I never had growing up a space where Latine, Black, and Indigenous youth could learn through the arts, connect to their culture, and feel safe to be exactly who they are.
I built this with my own funding and with the support of a small but mighty community.
No big budget. Just one person carrying a vision too important to put down.
The Good Good Collective was born in Bushwick, in the middle of a pandemic, in a city that often forgets our kids until it's too late.
And still, we’ve reached nearly 300 students across New York, San Antonio, and Tulum through tuition-free arts programs rooted in culture, confidence, and care.
In January, I suffered a traumatic brain injury while on a school outing with my students in Tulum, Mexico. It set me back five months. But even in recovery, I’ve kept showing up behind the scenes because this work doesn’t pause.
I’m now fully returning my focus to Bushwick, where this mission began to plant permanent roots for our youth and community.
What We're Raising $60,000 For:
Secure a one-year lease in Bushwick
Continue our July summer camps and creative programs
Furnish and build out classrooms
Stock essentials like markers, paper, and classroom supplies
Teaching Artist Pay
We’re officially a 501(c)(3), which opens the door to grants (which we are actively working on) and sponsors but this moment depends on our community.
We need immediate support to launch our summer programs and secure our first permanent home by September.
