LET'S NOT LET WAR STEAL HIS FUTURE

ESLAM AL MASRI
A Student. A Witness. A Family in Gaza.

Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has been living through one of the most devastating humanitarian crises in its modern history.
Entire neighborhoods have been destroyed. Hospitals, schools, and universities have been damaged or reduced to rubble. Millions of civilians are living in constant insecurity, with extremely limited access to food, clean water, electricity, shelter, and medical care.
Tens of thousands of people have been killed or injured.
Thousands of children have lost their homes, their families, or suffered life-changing injuries and amputations.
Amid this tragedy, an entire generation of students has seen its future suddenly interrupted.
Eslam Al Masri is one of them.
A student whose life was shattered by war
My name is Eslam Al Masri.
I am from northern Gaza.
Before the war, I was studying nursing at the University of Palestine.
My dream was simple: to complete my studies, become a nurse, and help others.
But the war changed everything.
Our home was bombed while we were inside. Since that day, my family has been living under extremely difficult conditions.
The current situation no longer allows Eslam to continue his studies.
Like thousands of other students in Gaza, his education was abruptly interrupted by the war. He hopes to return to university once the war finally ends.
Today, he has become the main provider for his family.
His family consists of six people.
His father suffers from heart disease and several chronic illnesses that require constant medical treatment and medication.
Meanwhile, Eslam continues to document and bear witness to the daily lives of people in Gaza through photography and visual storytelling.
He documents families, children, displaced civilians, and the everyday reality of war so that the world does not forget what the people of Gaza are enduring.
How your support will help
Your support will help:
Provide essential daily needs for Eslam’s family;
Purchase medicine and support medical care for his father;
Help Eslam and his family survive during this period of war and displacement;
Allow him to continue documenting life in Gaza;
Preserve the hope that he may one day return to his studies.
Even a small contribution can make a real difference:
a meal;
medical treatment;
internet access;
basic necessities;
a few more days of safety and stability for a family in crisis.
Why your support matters
Supporting Eslam is not only about financial help.
It is also about:
remembering that there are human lives behind the headlines;
refusing to let people become invisible;
supporting a young man who continues to document the reality of Gaza;
helping preserve hope in the middle of destruction.
In times of war, solidarity matters.
Every message, every share, and every donation — no matter how small — becomes a reminder that people have not been forgotten.
Because sometimes, knowing that someone, somewhere, still cares can help a person keep going.
Personal message from Eslam
Écriture
Despite the war, the losses, and the hardships, I still hold on to hope.
I hope one day to return to my nursing studies, continue helping others, and keep documenting the life of my people with dignity.
Every contribution, even a small one, represents real support for me and my family.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who chooses to stand with us during this difficult time.
