This amazing woman here is KATE, Kate was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2020 and for so many people 2020 was a devastating year due to covid, but kates diagnosis was extra devastating as she had been asking for the genetic brca gene testing since 2007, as Kate lost her mum as a child to breast cancer and for whatever reason the testing wasn't done... Last year was the worst of her life, going through chemotherapy and radio therapy, her family and friends seen her at her lowest as her fears of leaving her children, partner, family and friends was very real.. This year she was approached for a study and was then offered the brca gene test and her results are that her cancer is genetic! Her fears have since returned as so could her cancer, and to say she's living to fight for her life is an understatement.. Kates needs a double mastectomy and her ovaries removed, to help prevent the cancer coming back.. Kate has some savings but not nearly enough to cover the costs!
