Let’s make a few quid!

I seemed to love a challenge so this one is my biggest runs yet. My dream is to run the wild horse 200 so what better way to have a go at a good training run in the northern traverse. Next April I’ve taken on the challenge of running from st bees to Robin Hoods Bay. The runs I choose are to battle my own demons but if I can make a few quid for charity then why the heck not!

Those that are friends, colleagues will know of my struggles with mental health and the solace I find in running! The freedom and head space it gives me is more important than the tablets I take! It really has saved me! I love the break from reality I get. Bad day? Go for a run. The thoughts and anxiety stop and I just think of trying to stay alive . The Physical activity of running, greatly affects my mental well-being. It helps to increase my self-esteem, reduce my stress and anxiety, helps prevent the development of my mental health problems, and improves the quality of life I have and obviously running with the dogs (when they aren’t running off again) increases this tenfold.

I’m lucky everyday that I get to lace up and get out there and I hope this pushes other people to finding their break away to overcoming mental health issues

It’s a bit a way I understand but my thoughts are if I set up this page now it makes me accountable. Accountable for the training and the races I have leading up to this mammoth run!
