Let’s Lighten the Load for Ellie!
Around noon on October 29, Ellie Randolph (age 20) was driving in the rain, slid on a wet country road and hit a concrete bridge. Simultaneously, her seatbealt tightened & jammed, her door handle broke off, and both of her knees broke. She tried to call 911 but the call wouldn’t complete. Thankfully, some men in a truck drove up on her wreck, got her door open, her seatbelt off, and the airbag out of her face. She was taken to Erlanger Hospital for treatment where she had surgery on one of her broken knees. She is at home now, but recovery could take several weeks.
Ellie’s family and friends are so thankful for God’s protection on her life and that no one else was in the vehicle. Her car is beyond repair and there is no insurance coverage to replace it. She also has no health insurance so the medical bills will be entirely her responsibility. We don’t know the extent of these bills yet, but as a close family friend, I wanted to start a fundraiser to help “lighten her load!” These funds will be used by Ellie toward her medical bills and possibly to purchase another car. She worked very hard to buy her first car on her own this summer, and it’s sad to see it be destroyed so soon! I will update this fundraiser once we know more specifics about the total medical costs. But for now, please continue to pray for Ellie and her family, and if you are able, please donate!
