Let’s Lift Up Our Valerie

Our wonderful Valerie is navigating the recent loss of her beloved mother, Marie. As anyone who knows Val can attest, she’s the first to show up for others—always ready with a hug (or 7), a laugh, and a stiff pour. Now, we have a chance to show up for her.

The past few weeks have been incredibly hard. Val poured her heart into caring for her mom—coordinating hospice care with her sisters, making countless drives back and forth from the Poconos, and holding it all together with her signature grace (and let’s be honest, a little sass). The Mama Tried family was amazingly supportive. Nonetheless, in the process, she missed several work shifts, adding financial stress to an already heavy emotional time.

That’s where we come in. Our contributions can help lift Val out of a tough financial spot and give her the breathing room she so deeply deserves right now.

Full disclosure: I will absolutely be in the dog house with Val for starting this. But I’ll take it on the chin if it means we can surround her with a little love (and maybe cover a few bills while we’re at it).
