Lets Kick Katies Cancers Butt!
Donation protected
As some of you would already be aware our beautiful Katie was diagnosed last year with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy and reconstruction.
After almost a year, it genuinely felt like the worst was in the past and she could turn over a new leaf. Unfortunately Katies latest tests showed that wouldn't be the case and she has to undergo another surgery this week followed by radiation.
As some of us may have experienced with family or friends before, it's not only a long physical and emotional road to recovery. The financial debt, time away from work and constant uncertainty can be devastating.
Those fortunate to know her can attest to how beautifully kind, silly and selfless she is. She’s the kind of friend that genuinely helps us all appreciate beautiful moments in life often overlooked. She's the one to excitedly send a photo of the first flowering jasmine in Spring, or the sharp slither of a crescent moon resembling the cheshire cats cheeky grin.
As a compassionate nurse, she has given so much of herself to caring for the most vulnerable in our community. On the pandemics front line or not, she always puts others wellbeing above her own.
Now we want to return that compassion.
As a collective, our generosity will make a meaningful difference to lighten an unimaginably heavy load on Katies shoulders.
Thankyou to everyone willing to share this post or support with a donation, big or small.
Your generosity means everything.
xx
