Let’s Kick Claudia’s Colon Cancer in the Butt!

Our inspiring and fearless trail-blazing friend Claudia needs our help. As a devoted mentor, teacher, and spiritual guide, she has poured countless hours into the growth and personal development of so many of us.

It is with great humility that we are asking her community and our extended communities to offer generous assistance as she fights mentally, physically, and emotionally to win her battle with Colon Cancer.

Late last year, Claudia started feeling unwell. After several tumultuous days of getting progressively worse, she received a diagnosis of Stage IV Colon Cancer with metastasis to her liver.

She had surgery to remove the tumors on January 17. The surgery was successful. Still, she will now require at least eight more months of intense treatment - from chemotherapy to physical therapy- and still other interventions.

As a self-employed professional, she is unable to continue to do the work that brings in her income - the work of mentoring, teaching voice, athletic training, and meeting with people one on one and in groups - to help them heal their relationship with their voices and grow their skills.

The unique and powerful way that Claudia works with her clients is one of the most transformative experiences many of them have had.

Claudia is a devoted friend and advisor to many. She is also an author, singer, vocal coach, fitness professional, and spiritual leader. Her podcast, The Liberated Voice, has allowed her message of healing and love to reach a larger audience, guiding people all over the world to be more aware of their physical and emotional selves to become better singers ... and human beings.

Getting sick while being self-employed and an artist is uniquely challenging.

In addition to ongoing health care costs and sky-high insurance deductibles, a self-employed artist cannot rely on certain financial supports and, worse, does not know when their body will be able to return to the work they do to make money. It is time for us to step up, because our community needs Claudia back in her full glory!

Your donation will help Claudia pay her medical bills and living expenses until she can work again, which we estimate will be about ten months. It will ensure that she has secure housing, proper care while in recovery, nutritious and healing foods, can continue to pay the expenses life brings all of us, and peace of mind that she can take the precious time to fight colon cancer with all her capacity.

She is in a critical time of healing and adversity, and removing the burden of financial uncertainty is of utmost importance.
