Let's Keep Sam Nord Afloat

This GoFundMe page is written on behalf of my cousin Sam Nord.

As many of you know, Sam Nord has recently been forced to have to learn how to navigate his way through life and cope with the immeasurable painful depths of loss after his most cherished person and only daughter Kailey Marie James tragically and unexpectedly died on July 1st, 2021, at the tender age of sixteen. This devastation has irreversibly changed his life forever and Sam has done an amazing job of working with his grief to find a positive outlet for his heartache and love for Kailey by going back to school to pursue dual certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Sam began his coursework on September 1, 2021, at Hennepin Technical College. He is set to graduate on October 14 and take his state certification board examination on October 16, 2021. He plans to pursue employment working with veterans, individuals with autism, older adults and disabled persons in their homes, persons within the mental health community, and in correctional care. He is looking forward to furthering his education, working towards advancing to a Registered Nurse while working as a CNA and HHA.

Sam is a terrific guy and a wonderful father. He is humble, resourceful, and kind. He deserves a soft spot to lie down. The contributions of this fund will go directly to Sam to cover his immediate basic expenses as he pursues this new passion, in helping others, in the art of caring which is Nursing. Please let us all support Sam as he makes this wonderful and exciting transition into a new career in celebration of Kailey’s beautiful light.
