As many of you know our gentle kindhearted friend, coworker and community member Noah recently underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor. His surgery was delayed when a seasonal flu developed into pneumonia. Noah was hospitalized in advance to treat the pneumonia and get him to a place where they were able to operate. His surgery was completed and he is now home recovering.
While Noah's health issues were unfolding Noah and his mother Andrea have been facing housing insecurity. For reason's beyond their control they will need to be moving from where they currently rent by June 30th. Andrea is medically disabled and unable to work. Noah is recuperating from a major surgery as he is being treated for pneumonia at home. Others are helping Andrea find stable housing for her and Noah. I'm reaching out to ease the burden on Noah and grant him the presence of mind to heal without the looming threat of homelessness.
My aim is to secure the funding to cover the upfront costs of getting into an apt as well as any medical expenses not covered by his insurance. I understand that I'm asking during a time of economic uncertainty, but Noah needs more than a plant-based casserole. . . he needs housing security and the support of community as he heals. Your consideration is deeply appreciated, Noah and Andrea are grateful.
Thank you.
