Let's keep Hells on both feet!

This past Saturday, 2/24/24 Hailie "Hellsenberg" Cook (Hells for short) played in her first bouts of the 2024 season. Birmingham’s own flat track roller derby team, the Tragic City Rollers, hosted a double header with TCR’s B-Hammers vs Atlanta Roller Derby’s Rolling Ruckus followed by TCR’s home team scrimmage – Sassquatches vs Hot Mess Monsters. Hells had already skated her heart out with the B-Hammers and was giving it her all jamming for the ‘Messies’ when, with only minutes left in the game, she fell. Ending her season as soon as it began.

She was taken to the hospital that night with a severely broken leg and had surgery the following morning. After a second surgery (occurring soon), she can begin the long road to recovery. And even with knowing what that road potentially looks like, Hells is already talking about getting back on the track.

Let’s help her reach her goal by letting her focus on her health and recovery. A significant amount of time at work will be missed and the bills won’t stop. The purpose of this GoFundMe campaign is to help Hells, her boyfriend Darron, and their sweet orange cat Toont keep a roof over their heads, food in their bellies, and help cover unanticipated medical expenses insurance may not cover.

Any amount you're willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated! And if you are not able to help financially, please take the time to share this with your friends and family – it will mean the world to Hells!
