Hello, we are the aunts(Jenny & Stacy) and Oma(grandma) of Brayden, please see his story below.

On July 14, 2020, Nate and Erin welcomed their first child, Brayden Elliott Moore. Brayden was born with Ebstein’s Anomaly and Pulmonary Artesia, a heart disease that was detected a few hours after he was born. This heart disease is complex and very confusing for anyone who is not a doctor to really understand it. Sometimes we still find ourselves trying to wrap our heads around it all. No words could ever describe how Erin and Nate felt when finding out their newborn had to be intubated, put on oxygen, and transferred to a children’s hospital that specializes in cardiology. Brayden had his first open heart surgery (Starnes procedure) at 2 weeks old. This was so hard for everyone, but Brayden showed us how much of a fighter he is. He had his second open heart surgery (Glenn procedure) at 3 months old. He will now have his third and what we hope will be his final open-heart surgery (Fontan procedure) in June just before his third birthday. As much as any open-heart surgery is terrifying, we understand this is part of getting his heart on track to become stronger. We know God is continuously by his side. It’s such a blessing to know Brayden’s team of doctors and surgeons are among the best.

We have created this go fund me to help raise money for the Moore family to relieve some of the financial stress with his upcoming surgery. Recently they were told Brayden will need medication to help reduce some pressure in his heart and get him ready for his surgery. Unfortunately, this medication is around $780 a month out of pocket, and it may also be a long-term medication. This is just a small part of what is to come financially.
