As many of you may know, Wade Best was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (a type of blood cancer that has no cure) in July. He has spent the past 8 months in severe pain, fractured vertebrae, had surgery, numerous blood transfusions due to anemia, and so many tests to determine what was causing all of it. The past 8 months have been extremely hard emotionally, physically, and financially on Wade and his family. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning of his journey to battling this cancer. The next months ahead will include chemotherapy, radiation and a stem cell transplant to get it into remission.
If you know Wade, you know how hard of a worker he is and takes great pride in that. For him to not be able to work, or do much at all for that matter - especially being self employed, it has been a major life adjustment. For that reason, we decided to not let him or his wife Becky know we were starting this support group, as we knew he would never want to ask for help and/or would feel undeserving of such support.
Wade is a husband, father, grandfather "papa", brother, family, friend, and has been a coach to so many. He has always been the type to help others when in need any way that he can, and now it is our turn to repay the favor to someone SO deserving.
A lot of you have been asking ways how you can help Wade and his family during this stressful time. Now, more than ever, is when we can provide any support we can. For those who cannot support financially, please keep Wade and his family in your positive thoughts and prayers. Every bit counts!
Any money raised will help ease the financial burden due to loss of income, medical expenses, etc. Their daughter, Tiffany Bugg will be their beneficiary and she will be giving all of the donations to her dad Wade, once collected. Our goal is to try help ease a little stress during this difficult time and allow him to focus on beating this thing! Wade is extremely hard working and determined, and with all of the support from his friends and family we KNOW he will kick cancers butt!
