Zach is a 2024 graduate of Holy Cross Secondary School - a gifted singer, dedicated guitarist and musician, and a young man known for his warmth, humility, and steady determination. Many in our community remember him shining on the HC stage, where his voice and presence left a lasting impression.

Just a few weeks ago, Zach was diagnosed with an incredibly rare form of cancer for his age. This week, he has undergone major surgery in Toronto for partial removal of his tongue and lymph nodes. The road ahead will include recovery, rehabilitation, and significant adjustments to daily life.

Zach is currently pursuing his studies to become a fire inspector, and he is also a volunteer firefighter with South Frontenac Township. His sudden and unexpected diagnosis has placed his plans on hold as he focuses fully on treatment and healing.

Over the coming year, there will be many practical challenges: travel for specialized care, time away from work and school, rehabilitation support, and other unexpected expenses that accompany a diagnosis of this magnitude. While Zach and his family face this with courage and grace, no family should have to carry this weight alone.
