Let’s Help Yosieph

On December 30th, 2021, my friend Yosieph had a life-changing accident. He fell in the shower causing him to injure his vertebrae. He lay helpless on the floor for ten hours before his mom found him and called 911. The fall resulted in paralysis and the inability to support his neck or use his arms/hands. 

As you can imagine, this has been an INCREDIBLY difficult time for Yosieph and his family. Not only is he unable to work, but his family’s home is not wheelchair accessible, making it challenging for Yosieph to move around and perform everyday tasks.

Through only months of rehabilitation, Yosieph made great strides. He regained the ability to support his neck and minimal functionality of his arms. Unfortunately, his recovery has stalled as his rehab therapy was terminated.

For Yosieph to continue his recovery, he needs to be able to move home from the facility he’s been living in for the past year. But he can only move home if his house is modified and made wheelchair accessible. The world of disability insurance is incredibly complicated, full of obstacles and currently unable to cover what Yosieph and his family need at the moment. 

We are asking for your help to raise funds for the necessary modifications to his home as well as for rehabilitation, an in-home caregiver/nurse, and an electric wheelchair. Anything you can give will make a huge difference in Yosieph's life and help ease the financial burden he and his family are facing. No amount is too small.
