If you live in Pittsboro, you know Tony Lassiter. If you don't, let me introduce you to him: you could know him as the friendly face at Food Lion, as the volunteer at any of the churches in town, as the caring employee at Cambridge Hills, as the supportive cheer at any community event or as the friend that arrives to deliver a bag of goodies to celebrate your birthday (he knows everyone's birthday!) or just to brighten your day! He's a friend to all! I think we can all agree Tony has a big smile and an even bigger heart! At our church's youth group our Youth Director did a lesson on spreading joy to others and what that might look like within our community, my son replied, "It would be Tony!" We all agreed that Tony is the perfect example of Spreading Joy, and our youth group created #joylikeTony.

Tony works hard, is a caregiver for his parents and uses his spare time to volunteer, visit families and delivers presents. Unfortunately, Tony has been left without a method of transportation. His car broke down and cannot be repaired. He was borrowing his parents car, which is now also broken down. To be honest, Tony needs a new car. He works and provides for him family and without a car he cannot get to and from his obligations. As much as Tony does for all of us, my wish is that we can return the favor and help him get a car.

I've partnered with Laura Benitez and her family business, "Van 2 Auto Sales, Inc." to help find a car for Tony. Van 2 Auto Sales will graciously cut costs of the vehicle purchased, but we need your help. As Tony has given of his time and love to our community members and churches, let's gather together to help Tony! Your contribution will make a huge impact on Tony's life.
