Hi, my name is Hygeia, and I am fundraising for my friend whose mom passed away. My friend, Lovely, is a single mom and an active member of the US Army. In order to fulfill her duties as a military, her mom had been taking care of her son. Sadly, her mom got sick, and with underlying respiratory conditions, she eventually passed away. There are no words to console a grieving heart who lost a mother days before Mother's Day; hence, I am humbly asking for any monetary suppprt you can give. Here is my friend's message...

"My mother, Lydia, developed severe lung problems from a lifetime exposure to smoke. She didn't smoke but spent her days toiling over our home's open fire stove in Cebu province. She cooked all sorts of food, treats and goodies to sell. With the money that she earned from this, she was able to raise me and my 10 siblings. We never went hungry, we were clothed modestly and were able to go to school. Her love and sacrifice resulted in the physical scarring of her lungs from long term smoke inhalation.
She was eventually hospitallized in December of 2021. She stayed in the hospital for four long months but in the end she died due to respiratory failure. She paid the ultimate price for her love and sacrifice. During her entire stay she remained strong in mind and will, always expressing her utmost desire to return to the Philippines to be with her grandchildren. Sadly she would never get better to be able to safely leave the ICU and she passed away last May 5 without realizing her final wish. Please support our effort to fulfill this kind and wonderful woman's last wish. Please help us return Lydia home to the Philippines so that she will be reunited with her family, and be finally laid to rest beside her late husband, Rogelio.
Thank you."

I hope that you can spare any amount for Lovely's family, so she can take her mom's remains back to the Philippines.

Sincerely,
Hygeia
