Gary & Tonya Prickett; it's our turn to help them

Donation protected
UPDATE: 12/11/2021 It is with the heaviest of hearts we update everyone that Gary passed away on Friday, December 10th, 2021. Please keep his family close and be patient as we learn to navigate this tremendous loss. The donation that so many have been graciously donating, will go to his wife Tonya to help with arrangements, medical bills and everything else that follow.

UPDATE: 12/10/2021: Gary is still on the ventilator and doing well. Day by day he is still fighting. Thank you everyone for your continued support through prayer and through donation. It is greatly appreciated.

Where to begin...As I write this, I cannot help but be emotional.

Gary was originally admitted to the hospital for COVID complications this last November. He was released and expected to recover from home with oxygen. Last Friday, December 3rd, 2021, something wasn't right, and Tonya took Gary back to the hospital, where he was readmitted. They put Gary on a CPAP machine to help him breath and not only did he look better, but in his own words, he felt better. We had hope! However, that evening, he was told that he will be moving to ICU, with no real explanation as to why. Then, Sunday December 5th, 2021, we received news that no person is ready to hear. The Dr. told Gary and Tonya that he would probably not be going home. Fibrosis had set into his lungs and that they are beyond repair. They gave Gary and Tonya a few different options, all ending with his chance of survival being poor. That answer wasn't enough for Gary or anyone else. Gary IS a fighter and Gary is choosing to fight! His family has requested to have him transferred to Boise, Idaho for better care. But, before that happens, Gary needs to recover to a safe "traveling" level and we are told that can take weeks or maybe even months. As of Monday, December 6th, 2021, and after a very emotional video call with family reminding him how loved he is, Gary chose to be intubated and placed on a ventilator. Gary has been somewhat stable since then.

For anyone looking to help and not sure how, this is a great way. The funds will be transferred to Tonya to help with medical bills, travel and living expenses. Our hope is to help ease the burdens of finances, as that should be the least of their concern right now. Gary and Tonya are always there for us in time of need. It is now our turn to be there for them, in theirs. Please keep Gary and Tonya in your thoughts and prayers.
