Hello friends and family! My name is Billy Burns and with the help of Sunny and Awna, I’m creating this GoFundme page for a very special person you all know and love. Dawna Higgs I don’t even know where to begin. My cousin Dawna has been there for more people than I can count and has never asked for anything in return. I am even creating this page against her wishes, but sometimes the best of us don’t know how to ask for help, even from the people who she has gone out of her way to help. NO matter how hard life tends to be for her, she always puts her problems aside and gives anything she can, even if it stops her from getting what she needs for her own health and wellbeing. She won’t admit it, but these last few years have been very rough on her. A person that she was helping took advantage, and when finally asked to leave, they told lies to get her kicked out of her own home. She was able to get her home back, but it was completely destroyed, she has been getting things back in order, but it has been a slow and very painful process as you can imagine. She is a breast cancer survivor and is currently living with physical ailments that prevent her from working and is in constant pain. While going through all this, she still goes above and beyond for the people she loves, I honestly don’t know how she does it. Which brings me to why I’m creating this page, her car was stolen last night and was her only mode of transportation. They found the car, but it was set on fire and no longer able to drive. This car was her lifeline, and she was unable to get the insurance to help her out since she only had liability. This is on top of everything that she is going through right now, which is a lot. She needs a new car and a little bit of money to help her get her home more secure and maintained. Even though she is too proud to ask for help, I’m not, so please help me get a new car for a very deserving and beautiful person who has done so much for the people around her.
