Here’s a compassionate and compelling fundraising story you can use for a website:

My name is Milan Shereng, and today is my birthday. I Dont need birthday expensive gifts or wish but rather help to fund a school. I am writing with a heavy heart to help my dear old school friend — and to protect the dreams of countless children in our village.

A few days ago, I received a message from him that broke me:

“I am not in the state to speak even seeing you online, friends. It sounds awkward and selfish, and I admit it’s true because I have remained totally grounded for years. Now I am compelled by my story. The school in my village, where the compound wall construction was just completed two days ago, has been washed away by heavy rain on 8 September (24 Asar). Please share my story for help, for the sake of the future of little children. It’s the only surviving community school nearest to the village.”

The picture above shows the heartbreaking damage. The rain tore down the newly built compound wall, leaving the school — and the safety of its children — vulnerable. This is not just about repairing a wall. It’s about safeguarding the only place where children from nearby villages can learn, dream, and build a better future.

For many families here, this school is more than a building. It’s hope. It’s the only opportunity their children have for education without having to travel dangerous, long distances on foot.

Why we need your help:
• To rebuild the destroyed compound wall and strengthen the school’s foundation against future landslides.
• To ensure children can attend classes without fear of further damage or accidents.
• To keep education alive in one of the most remote parts of our community.

Every contribution — no matter the size — will go directly toward reconstruction and protection efforts. Together, we can restore safety and hope for these children before the next heavy rain puts them at risk again.

Please stand with us. Let’s give these children their safe school back.

Donate now and help secure the future of our village’s only school.
